Goodbye Summer 18'

I was supposed to start my Counselor blog mid summer as I traveled thru the states but I found myself lazy to do anything that didn't require swimming and embracing the sun.  Now, here we are and I'm typing my very first blog as there are only two more hours left of summer.

Summer 18'', you were magnificent to me. I don't think I spent one moment dwelling on anything. I took in the summer and shined brighter than the sun. The beaches, the trips, the friends and the boys... Experiences and lessons learned but nothing I couldn't handle. The best summer ever!

As I get into the swing of things in my middle school and starting a blog and following up on my Counselor Instagram page, I can't help but notice and be excited about my accomplishments. I got my first Donors Choose project funded, I have an amazing professional development coming up in California to officially be certified as a ROX Facilitator, and I'm having the time of my life connecting with Counselors from all over the states and learning about their counseling styles. I'm excited and ready for this school year.. But still not ready for the summer to be over. I'm not ready for snow, the cold or shoveling.

Last day of summer and now everyone is getting ready for Fall. I hear friends talking about "Pumpkin Spice Lattes" & "Halloween Costumes". Other friends are already planning our Secret Santa Party. And here's an even better one; Summer isn't officially over and stores are decorated for Christmas! They've gone mad! I love me some Christmas but please don't take my Summer away!

Well, all good must come to an end. The only end that's happening for me is the nice summer weather but the same positive vibes that happened Summer 18' will be manifested into Fall and Winter 18'.

Pure & Utter happiness is what I felt. Didn't know what that felt like in a while. Whatever I found this Summer that kept me feeling the positive vibes definitely needs to be stick around for the remainder of the year and after!

Summer 18, you were phenomenal!
